In 1986 Sierk Vojacek started his own independent film and TV commercial company in the Netherlands and directed and produced numerous commercials and corporate films. In 1996 an opportunity came to Sierk W Vojacek to direct a commercial in China, where he has been attracted and absorbed by the Chinese culture ever since.

SVP set up an office in Beijing in 1996, and since then the company slowly broadened its scope to television programmes, content developments and sponsored projects. By this time, SVP has become fully focused on the promising Chinese new market.

The turning point came in 2000 when SVP obtained a Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise (WOFE) business licence in China, one of the first that was issued by the Chinese government. With this licence, SVP was able to enjoy much greater freedom in engaging in various businesses in China, and was from then shifting its main focus onto consultancy activities.

Over his time spent in China, Sierk W Vojacek has adapted to the Chinese ways of living and working, its habits and values, and the mind and many faces of China.
